Patient: Four years since your accident. Yes, sir.
Dr. Ara Deukmedjian: And tell us what life was like with the back pain you had from your accident.
Patient: For those four years, very debilitating. Basically lost my initial career. I’m a military member and I’ve been fighting to be able to stay in the military through meds and stuff, trying to get back to a point where I can continue to serve and provide for my family. And it’s just been a lot of downhill, but I’ve just been trying to maintain until I found Dr. Deuk.
Dr. Ara Deukmedjian: Tell me about the back. How bad was it?
Patient: It got up to an 8 to 9 initially. It’s been a consistent five or six in that lower back region. Trouble standing, sitting for long periods. There was just no winning.

Patient: Terrible. Like I said, I’ve had to change careers a few times in the last four years to try to find something where I could actually work. And it’s been very, very tough.

Patient: Correct. Yes.
