Deuk Spine Institute has been in operation since 2004. Our medical clinic is a state-of-the-art spine, orthopedic and pain management facility located in Florida’s Space Coast, just minutes from NASA and world-famous beaches. The clinic has 15 exam rooms, an open MRI, lab, a procedure room and diagnostic imaging. Surgery Center of Viera, a fully accredited and licensed ambulatory surgery center, is located next door for ultimate patient convenience.
Anesthesia services are provided on site by our trusted staff anesthesiologist. Top physician providers from neurosurgery, pain management, anesthesiology, physiatry and interventional pain management are on site ready to care for our patients upon their arrival to the clinic. Sterile Processing
Sterile processing is the cleaning and sterilizing of devices used in medical procedures to prevent infections in patients receiving treatment. The goal of sterile processing is to improve patient safety by reducing the risk of contamination during surgical procedures. Deuk Spine Institute has a surgical infection rate of less than 1 in 5,000 procedures. This means we would need to perform 5,000 surgeries to have a single patient infection.
A facility’s sterile processing department is always the first and foremost strategy to prevent surgical infections. The sterilization equipment chosen to reprocess surgical instruments is a big factor in preventing infections and each facility has a responsibility to their patients to invest in high quality. For our surgery centers we have researched and chosen the newest and most advanced surgical instrument washer-disinfector and sterilizers available to hospitals worldwide.

Deuk Spine Institute uses information gleaned from medical diagnostic imaging to aid in making the diagnosis of the cause of a patient’s pain or neurological injury. Diagnostic imaging is essential to confirm the source of pain, weakness, numbness or neurological symptoms. As with all other equipment there is wide variation in quality of diagnostic imaging equipment.
While many facilities source inexpensive diagnostic imaging equipment to save costs and increase profits, Deuk Spine Institute recognizes the importance of investing in high quality equipment.
